What is听TRiO?听
TRiO听is听a听cluster听of听eight听federally funded programs, which started听in听the 1960s听in an effort to听identify and听provide听educational opportunities for听students from disadvantaged backgrounds.听The听TRiO听name is derived after the emergence of the first three programs: Upward Bound听(UB), Talent Search (TS),听and Student Support Services听(SSS). Our TRiO听programs听serve students ranging from middle school up to the university level听and each听program has specific guidelines for enrollment.听听
